How to Choose Your Boxer Size (And What Fabric Actually Matters)

A boxer that fits disappears — you never think about it once it is on. A boxer that does not fit makes itself known all day: riding up, rolling down, or gripping in the wrong places. The good news is that getting the size right takes about two minutes and a tape measure.

Measure your waist first

Wrap a soft tape measure around your waist at the point where your boxers actually sit — usually just below the navel, not at your natural waist. Keep the tape level and snug but not tight, and breathe normally. That number, in centimetres or inches, is the one that matters. If you are between sizes, size down for a closer fit or up for a relaxed one.

  • ·S — roughly 71–79 cm / 28–31" waist
  • ·M — roughly 81–89 cm / 32–35" waist
  • ·L — roughly 91–99 cm / 36–39" waist
  • ·XL — roughly 101–109 cm / 40–43" waist

These are general ranges to orient you — always check the size guide for the exact numbers before you order, and remember fabric with elastane gives you a little forgiveness on either side.

Fit preference is personal

Two men with the same waist can prefer different sizes. If you like a trunk that sits close with support, stay true to your measurement. If you prefer a little more room through the leg, going up one size changes the feel without changing the length much. Neither is wrong — it is about how you like to wear them.

Why fabric matters as much as size

A perfectly sized boxer in cheap fabric still fails you by mid-afternoon. Cotton content, the elastane blend, and the quality of the stitching decide whether a pair keeps its shape or sags after a wash or two. We build every CheekPeak pair from 95% combed cotton and 5% elastane: combed cotton is smoother and stronger because the short fibres are removed before spinning, and the elastane is what keeps the fit locked in from morning to night.

  • ·Combed cotton — softer, more durable, less pilling over time
  • ·Elastane blend — retains shape and stretch through repeated wear
  • ·Flat, reinforced seams — no chafing, no rolling waistband

When in doubt, a subscription de-risks it

One advantage of a monthly boxer subscription is that you can change your size anytime from your account — so if the first pair runs a touch snug or loose, your next drop can arrive dialled in. Start with your measured size, wear it, and adjust from there.
